炎魔是于版本Beta21中被加入的Boss级（但并不是真正的Boss）的生物，属于乌图姆诺派系。
玩家杀死一只炎魔后会获得乌图姆诺进度：“炎魔杀手”。

生成
炎魔会生成在乌图姆诺的最深层——火之地狱。
外观
炎魔拥有燃烧的黄眼睛，以及烈焰灼烧、蒸气发散的庞大身躯，头顶长有一对恶魔般的角，背生巨大的翅膀（可在配置中禁用），双臂长而有力，浑身被熊熊的烈焰和烟尘环绕，手持炎魔之鞭或其他乌图姆诺派系的武器。
当炎魔身处水中或雨中时，其翅膀以及身上环绕的火焰和烟尘都会消失。
行为和特性
炎魔免疫火焰伤害。
作为乌图姆诺派系的生物，炎魔与玩家及所有派系的NPC敌对。
炎魔会以极快的速度冲向其周围44格及以内的目标发动近战攻击，造成远距离击退。
炎魔会持续点燃其身边的方块，在乌图姆诺，它们的火焰会替换周围的非乌图姆诺方块。
在受到伤害后，炎魔会持续回复1点（）生命值。
掉落物
玩家击败炎魔后，有概率掉落炎魔之鞭或者乌图姆诺武器（根据炎魔手中的武器而定），以及一些煤炭与乌顿之炎。
琐事
由于索敌路径问题，玩家在遭遇炎魔时可能会看见它在“逃离玩家”，但实际上炎魔并不会逃跑而是想绕路过来揍你。
炎魔与灰袍漫游者互相敌对，但由于灰袍漫游者不会受到除创造模式玩家以外的伤害的特性，这场战斗的胜利者必然是灰袍漫游者。You shall not pass!!!
