Crystals generate properly now, no longer checking if the bottom face is solid.
This build has been marked as incompatible with Placebo 2.x.x, which is an upcoming rewrite of the library. This will also in turn cause a rewrite of plants, likely alongside a rename and possible total overhaul of the mod.

I know this isn't the kind of update anyone wants, but I do want to mention that Plants is going to be updated to 1.13 in the near future.

The potion cauldron has now recieved CraftTweaker support! See the doc page for more information.
Certain foods can now be used for the potion cauldron, mostly berries.

This is the Ender Update, in which 5 new unique plants have been added to the End. Each one of these has a special effect, which is hinted in their tooltip. Screenshots are in the project description.
Makes the crystal forest toggle function properly in the BoP worldtype.
Bushes will no longer generate on farmland, or anywhere else there is a dirt-type block with something on top of it.
Crystal tools can now be repaired with their respective chunks.
Certain deadly berries are now actually deadly. Beware.
Optimized all textures. File size has been cut in half.
The flowerpot update! The flower pot compat was re-written, so it now works with everything that doesn't have a tile entity instead of this awful hardcoded list.
Also added plant jars! These function identially to the flowerpot, just as a jar. So if you like jars, well, there you go.

+Plants now overrides the vanilla flowerpot with its own. This new flowerpot has support for Plants, Botania, Forestry, Twilight Forest, and Binnie's Mods.

Nether Plants: Blazing Orchid; Flowering Magma; Golden Flame; Flameberry Bush; Emberian; and Smoldering Berry Bush.

If anyone remembers the crystal forest from Forgotten Nature, this is currently being added. Some content can be seen, but does not generate.
+Big Addition: Magical Brewing Cauldron
The magical brewing cauldron is a new creation that is used to solve the one major complain I was getting from many people, that about 150 plants were purely cosmetic, and they had no real use outside of being decorations or for dyes. Now, they have a use.
To use the brewing cauldron, simply place one down. It then needs to be filled with three buckets of water, and then it requires two nether wart to be thrown in. Then, after this point, it requires 6 plants, (double plants count as two) from Plants, that are used to craft dyes.
The dyes created by that plant is henceforth that plant's color, and is what determines what potion it will make. After you have added 6 plants, you can optionally add Dragon's Breath (for lingering potions) or Gunpowder (for splash potions). Then, simply get 3 glass bottles, and right click the cauldron.
Added desert plants. There are 19 of them, they can be seen here.
Fixed an issue where the id cosmetic_6 was spawning with a lesser chance than the other cosmetic meta plants.
Lowered the chance for natural mega patches from 1/300 to 1/600
Added automatic crop -> seed recipes for all crop-type plants.
Resolved cascading world gen lag issues. Thanks to mezz.
You will need to regenerate your configs.
Also, no promises that certain configuration settings will not re-enable the cascading issues. The generator configs are powerful, and should be respected as such. Specifically, the size config has the highest risk of creating cascading issues.
